To our English friendsWhether you live in the South West or just travelling through… keep Saturday 9th and Sunday10th October free. English residents in Clion will be pleased to welcome you to the Tea Garden for Tea or if you prefer French beer, there is a Bar. Once you have refreshed yourself, you will be in the right frame for visiting the displays which make up our wildlife fête. As well as birds-everything from poultry to pigeons to ornamental duck-life in the river Seugne has been re-created in a series of aquariums. Next there is the horse village where you can see demonstrations of work done by horses. A horse-drawn carriage will take you to the Art an Nature site where you can see painters, sculptors and photographers at work. You’ll learn how to recognize edible mushrooms and you’ll be amazed by the large variety of local marrows and pumpkins on display (The Cucurbit expo). Here savour delicious dishes using these vegetables, made on the spot by 2 chefs-one of whom is a master chef. After a break in the Tea Garden, you’ll continue to the “Musee Rural et Artisanal” where you will see 1000 tools spread through 7 rooms arranged by trade. Do not miss the demonstration of dog and goose training The Z’oielympiades. Sample and purchase the local product on offer. Looking forward to seeing you
